Saigling Drumline

June 10, 2011 - MCS donated the use of their cargo van and a driver to assist Saigling Elementary Drumline's performance at Children's Medical Center in Dallas. Saigling Elementary is the only elementary school in the Plano Independent School District to have a drumline. Mr.White, who teaches at Saigling, volunteers his time and teaches 4th and 5th graders drumming techniques. Mr. White's mom is a head nurse at Children's Medical Center and was able to arrange for the drumline to play for some of the kids at the hospital. It was great to see the smiles on the patients faces and at the same time for the members of the drumline to see children that have real issues in life. The cargo van was used to transport drums, stands, cymbals, and other percussion intruments.

Joplin Damage

May 28, 2011 - After the Joplin tornado, MCS worked with other local companies and transported supplies to Joplin the weekend after the tornado. MCS provided a cargo van, a cargo trailer, and personnel to transport bottled water, food, toiletries, clothes, and medical supplies. Gardendale Hospice spearheaded the relief effort by getting donations from individuals all over the Dallas/Fort Worth area. We were touched by the need we saw and devastation left in the path of the F5 tornado, yet amazed at the positive attitude the local people displayed amidst the turmoil.
